Erm... Can I have your autograph and a picture of you, Arron?? In mandarin : Arron, Wo Ke Yi Na Ni De Qian Ming He Gen Ni Pai Zhao Pian Ma? Wo = I / Me Ke Yi = Can Na = take Ni = You De = support for the sentence Qian Ming = signature He = and Gen = with Pai Zhao Pian = take photo / picture Ma = support the question... darn... i realize that i am not good at explaining either..  Jo, if you realize there's something mistakes on my translation or words...please correct me..  |

i guess i have this difficulties pronounce "Qian" and "zhao" ... i think i get a bit of it cuz the sentence structure are similar to cantonese ...

Jolene! That was perfect! Anna, I know what you mean with the translations: Qian can be pronounced like chee-en and zhao can be pronounced as Jao. Does this help? I will post the major pronounciations soon! Here's some more phrases to learn: If you want to tell Fahrenheit where you come from: wo cong (pronounce like ts-ong) (country name) lai de. cong - from lai - to come Some country words: Malaysia: Ma Lai Xi Ya America: Mei Guo UK: Ying Guo Canada: Jia Na Da Germany: De Guo France: Fa Guo More coming soon.... |

thanks JO.... i think the "qian" = "chee-en' is better to pronounce .... i come from malaysia = wo cong ma lai xi ya lai de (LOL i guess im rite) what is 'de' means then? ?? then Jo, is it a must for me to put 'AH' when saying ' ni hao li hai ah'... can it be 'ni hao li hai' sorry too much to ask.... |

Yep that's right! The de doesn't really mean anything here, just to structure the sentence or something. You don't have to say the ah on the end of the sentence. Ni hao li hai is still perfectly ok! |

Indonesia in Mandarin is Yin du ni xi ya so you can say wo cong yin du ni xi ya lai de To say 'I love your smile' is: wo ai ni de xiao rong wo = I ai = love ni = you ni de = your xiao rong = smile Here's a list of other country names: Australia = Ao Zhou Brunei = Wen lai Philippines = Fei lu bin Japan = Ri ben Korea = Han guo |
