2 chinese word combine become 1 english word....

Yep here's a list: wo de = my/mine ni de = your wo men de = ours (wo men = us) ni men de = yours (ni men = you in the plural) I'll post some more stuff later...gotta go practise my songs...

Good! ;D Happy Birthday = Sheng ri kuai le Sheng ri = birthday (literally...sheng = birth, ri = day) Kuai le = happy How old are you? = Ni shi ji sui? / Ni jin nian shi ji sui? I am...years old = wo (shi)...sui (don't have to use the shi here) ni = you shi = is/are jin nian = this year ji = how much sui = old/age Here's some months! January = Yi yue February = Er yue March = San yue April = Si = yue May = Wu yue June = Liu yue July = Qi yue August = Ba yue September = Jiu yue October = Shi yue November = Shi yi yue December = Shi er yue Yue = month so literally first month= January, second month February etc... Wo de sheng ri shi si yue shi er hao = My birthday is April 12th wo de = my sheng ri = birthday shi = is si yue = April shi er = 12 hao = date/day Hope that's all clear so far! Any questions class?

Erm... Anna.. it's like Cantonese... we add the 'ten' in front... 17 = shi qi 19 = shi jiu

Yep that's right! ;D Here's some more numbers: 20 = er shi 21 = er shi yi 22= er shi er etc... 30 = san shi 40 = si shi 50 = wu shi 60 = liu shi 70 = qi shi 80 = ba shi 90 = jiu shi 100 = yi bai 101 = yi bai yi 110 = yi bai shi 200 = er bai 300 = san bai etc 1000 = yi qian Then it gets really complicated...will cover that later ok!

Monday - xin qi yi. Tuesday - xin qi er Wednesday - xin qi san Thursday - xin qi si Friday - xin qi wu Saturday - xin qi liu Sunday - xin qi tian like that hope you wont get messed up?

Tian = Day Jin Tian = Today Ming Tian = Tomorrow Hou Tian = A day after tomorrow
same goes with year Nian = Year Jin Nian = This Year Ming Nian = Next Year Hou Nian = A year after next year
Wo Jin Tian Hen Bu Kai Xin = Today i (am) not very happy Wo = I / Me Jin Tian = Today Hen = Very Bu = Not Kai Xin = Happy
Wo Xiang Yao Ku = I feel want to cry Xiang = Feel / Think Yao = Want Ku = Cry

You mean in pronounciation? Cos they are both pronounced differently...Qiao is more of a 'chee-ow' sound and Xiao is more of a 'she-ow' sound. Hope that helps ;D
